Lakehill has Little League Baseball for kids ages 3 to 12.

The season begins in early April and runs until mid-June.   If you've never played baseball before, new players are always welcome in any of our divisions!

Little League determines a player's age using this Age Chart. Once you know your players age, you can review the available Divisions below.

In order to play at Baseball at Lakehill your player must also be within our Catchment. Please see the following Catchment section for more details.

Catchment

The map represents the catchment area for Lakehill Little League Baseball. If you live in this area OR your player attends school in this area, you are eligible to play ball at Lakehill.

Public Schools: Cedar Hill, Torquay, Hillcrest, Lakehill, Rogers, Lochside, Reynolds, Braefoot, Campus View, Gordon Head, Hillcrest, Frank Hobbs

Preschools: Commonwealth Preschool, Little Jack Horner, Lakehill Coop Preschool, Strawberry Vale Preschool

Little League has a League Finder map where you can enter the address of your residence or school. Please note, if you are located on a fringe area that borders on another league, please check with the league registrar or president for confirmation.

NOTE: SVI Softball has no boundaries that restrict players from playing Lakehill Softball.

Divisions

Mini T-Ball, ages 3 - 4

This division is about having fun and introducing kids to the basic skills, making friends and being part of the Lakehill community.

Times: 1 session per week on Saturday mornings.

T-Ball, ages 4 - 6

T-Ball is an introduction to baseball, with a program that is fun, fast moving and introduces kids to the basic skills. T-ball practices use skill based stations followed by short games.

Times: 2 sessions per week

Mini Minors, ages 5 - 7

In Mini-Minors we continue to work on skills to use those skills in more games. We start with coaches pitching, but kids will get a chance to pitch part way into the season.

Rookie Minors, ages 7 - 9

Rookie Minors is the transition between Mini Minors and Minors. In this division, kids begin pitching from a 38 foot mound. Coaches come in to pitch after 3 balls and batters then either hit or strike out. Games are both at Lakehill and other Victoria area Little League parks.

Times: 1-2 practices, and 1-2 games per week. Games are typically on weekends but can be weeknights.

Minors, ages 8 - 11

Kids are now pitching full-time from a pitcher’s mound 46 feet from the plate.  There are dedicated evenings for practices, with games typically on weekends, although there can be some games during the week. Games are both against other Lakehill teams and against other Victoria area Little League parks. The Minors division has a tournament team ( 9-10 year old baseball age may be eligible to try out) that plays for a Victoria Little League District championship the first week of July.

Times: 1-2 practices, and 1-2 games per week. Games are typically on weekends but can be weeknights.

Majors, ages 11 - 12

The field size remains the same as in Minors, but the level of play increases.  Games are both at Lakehill and at other Victoria area Little League parks.  Games and practices may be weekday evenings or weekends. There is a Majors tournament team (11-12 year old baseball age may be eligible to try out) that plays the 2nd week of July for the Victoria championship.

Times: 1-2 practices, and 1-2 games per week. Games are typically on weekends but can be weeknights.
